BIOGRAPHY Wyclef Jean is a three-time Grammy Award-winning Haitian-American rapper, singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, actor and politician.
He first rose to fame as a member of the acclaimed Fugees, the trio that also included Lauryn Hill and Pras. The group's debut album, Blunted on Reality sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Their sophomore album – The Score – sold over 18 million copies worldwide, eventually becoming a multi-platinum, Grammy-winning album. Wyclef or 'Clef as he is more affectionately known went solo in the late 90's and released a series of eclectic albums that were both critical and commercial successes. His debut solo album Wyclef Jean Presents The Carnival (1997) featured the top ten hit " ![]() Wyclef has collaborated with many of the top names of music history including: " ![]() ![]() ![]() Other collaborators include; Santana (Maria Maria) and Whitney Houston (Your Love is my Love), Kenny Rogers, Michael Jackson, Young Thug, Bob Dylan and Avicii.
