BIOGRAPHY Rikki Jai is the undisputed king of the Chutney Soca genre, which blends East Indian melodies with Trindiad's soca rhythms.
He has been a consistent performer with hits that include "Pumping", "Wine On Ah Bumsee" and more recently "Mor Tor". Despite his reign as King of Chutney, he has been accepted as a bona-fide calypsonian who is as comfortable signing in Hindi as he is with soca and calyspo. |
